Rightpath Extends Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Data At Rest Encryption (DARE) for Security and Peace-of-Mind.

Rightpath Insurance Solutions has enhanced security for all of its specialist claims management divisions to include Data At Rest Encryption and optional Multi-Factor Authentication, giving insurers complete peace-of-mind and greater access control.

Data At Rest Encryption
Data is fast becoming the new currency, strides in InsurTech mean that secure and accurate data holds unparalleled opportunity to the insurance industry and its sub-sectors.

For insurers, the robust security of data is critical in ensuring business integrity, most encryption processes only protect data whilst in transit, this leaves data vulnerable to unauthorised access wherever it is stored. The loss or theft of data can be enough to destroy the reputation of a once thriving insurer.

To complement Rightpath’s established comprehensive electronic and offline data security practices, Data At Rest Encryption has been extended. This protects data during transmission and whilst it is stored and in an ‘at rest’ state, mitigating against data-at-rest vulnerability.

Multi-Factor Authentication
In addition, Rightpath have also extended the platforms that utilise Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA enables the creation of advanced application login security for Rightpath’s AI-based claims management system, ATICS. MFA helps further reduce the risk of unauthorised data access due to device loss or social engineering.

Under an MFA policy, users are prompted to reconfirm their identity, via a simple 3 step process at the point of logon. Users unable to successfully reconfirm or respond to the data request made during their logon attempt will be denied access.
